Explaining Time & Materials Service Calls
Welcome to the Mr. Fix It of Sierra Vista education series! Today we're going to talk about our time and materials services in order to provide a better understanding of how this process works. Our service calls are scheduled as our tradesmen become available. This usually happens after their previously scheduled larger projects. If there are days and times that you will be unavailable, please make this known to our office staff when you call to set up the service call. We will do our best to accommodate these when we are finalizing our schedule. When you call to make an appointment, we will not be able to give you a definite date and/or time. We will give you a ballpark of time until we can get to you. Please be patient as we cannot always predict how long a project will take and delays or surprises can always arise in any project.
What is a Time & Materials Service Call?
A time and materials service call is a smaller project, usually electrical or plumbing, that is completed without an estimate and usually has a set price.
Standard cost is $95 per hour with a one (1) hour minimum. This includes travel (portal to portal), materials and supplies, and any applicable taxes. Two tradesmen are $150 per hour for T&M.
"Portal to Portal" means from our office to your home and back.
After hours/weekend rate:
$125 per hour, plus materials
$150 emergency charges
